Is that movie really very good? I was in France when it came out there, and all the reviews I read said that it was dull and pointless.

They gotta say that. It's Von Trier.

However, at $34.98 + $13.00 shipping and handling, even i'm not prepared to risk it.

There's also this, which -- at least for now -- is substantially cheaper. Since it's probably based on the Russian DVD (which I believe is the only one so far released) which is uncut, the tape probably is as well.

No need, by the way, to outbid my_man_manny if he is the highest bidder on that product, as I believe he will be willing to loan the VHS to members of this board.

I couldn't hold off any longer. Noticing that many of the Murnaus i was lusting after will be readily available this week thru Netflix, the trigger finger went off on the Dogville DVD.

Oh well, if it stinks, i can always sell it for half as much on ebay, right?

If you are here before the 22nd that will be fine, but if you are here after the 22nd that will cause some problems, for you see, after the 22nd it would be winter. And it's a Fall Annual Von Trier BBQ Bash. To try and pull this sort of thing off in the winter would most certainly upset some of the high ranking members in CFS (was: CANSaFCBG), where constant hostile takeovers already lie in waiting.

At the least, it would most certainly need to be put to a majority vote, and frankly, these clowns don't know how to count chads.
