Not to be confused with City of God or Children of Men...well, it can be confused with City of God a little bit...

It's on my short list for consideration to see in Palm Springs.

I need to review City of God to be sure, but I think I like the former film better -- at least I found it more grabbing. This one isn't bad, it just takes a bit too long to really get into things. To some extent (although cerationly this is over statement) the whole gang violence bit is something of a distraction. Actually, that's a lot of overstatement.

I see that there was also a Brazilian TV series "City of Men" that both Morelli and Meirelles were involved in. That TV show focused on the two main characters in this film.
