Hi,

I`m from Holland but next summer I will visit New York and in New York, there are the premieres...
Do someone know if there is a site with information about when and where the premieres are? Because I like it very much to watch all the actors when they arrive.
I`m really sorry for my bad english, I hope you will understand it

Welcome Film Freak!

I do not know of any premiers, but if you hang out long enough you will learn of many different places to find great films. I personally invite you to come over to the Chicago International Film Festival next fall. That thing is wicked.

Say, since you're Dutch, tell me -- have you seen either one of these movies? I'm trying to figure out whether they're worth seeing or not:

INTERVIEW
2003, Theo van Gogh, Netherlands, 89 min.
With Katja Schuurman, Pierre Bokma
In this pressure-cooker drama featuring tour-de-force performances, a political journalist with an unwanted interview assignment engages a buxom pop star in a psychological game of chicken in the course of one harrowing night. Coy and curvaceous Katja is touted in the tabloids as every man’s dream -- every man, that is, except Pierre, a shell-shocked war reporter nursing scars from Bosnia. His secrets trump hers in an increasingly erotic showdown, but one of them is lying. Print courtesy of Holland Film. In Dutch with English subtitles. 35mm. (BS)

and

SEA OF SILENCE
(VERDER DAN DE MAAN)
2003, Stijn Coninx, Netherlands, 120 min.
With Johanna Ter Steege, Huub Stapel
Ten-year-old Mees embarks on a plan to stop her father’s drinking, with unforeseen results. The girl is old enough to know Dad is passed out in a locked bedroom when Mom says he’s “away in France,” but not old enough to understand why they have a new baby every year. The semi-autobiographical story by screenwriter Jacqueline Epskamp takes place in the moonwalk summer of 1969, and Mees’s biggest worry is that the American rocket ship will breach heaven and incur God’s wrath. Print courtesy of Holland Film. In Dutch with English subtitles. 35mm. (BS)
