Saw this doc at NBFF the other day. opens 7/28 in LA/NY, slow roll out.

Interesting doc, but I think there are many ways that the fact of observation skews events. Don't know how that could have been avoided thought. I note it was really low on the LA Times Summer Film Posse's list, which doesn't surprise me - who wants to see a movie of what they see every day? Some of the stories are pretty much what you'd expect. I found one to be particularly interesting, though.

(Note to mods: I was in the wrong subforum when I posted this. Please move to the main film forum.)

On the marketing of the film
Crow
I saw this film and found it to be like watching a reality show, only one that is aimed at an audience
that is intelligent enough to realize that the lives of genuinely real people are more interesting than watching D-list celebrities embarrass themselves.

I think the "Breakfast Club" thing was a marketing idea to impose some structure on what could have been an unweildy doc. But I didn't think the kids they profiled fit very well into these simple labels of "jock" and "princess" and "rebel". At least a couple of these kids were more interesting than the characters in a typical teen film or TV sitcom.
