There's a delightful little British film, a few years back, called "Greenfingers"--very much in the "Waking Ned Devine" and "Calendar Girls" vein (it even has David Kelly and Helen Mirren), and its star was the then-unknown Clive Owen. Well-worth checking out, if you want to find the second-best gardening film out there (the top being "Being There", of course).

Looking thru imdb, gotta say--it doesn't look all that promising, tho. "American Beauty"? "The Constant Gardener"? "The Island of Dr Moreau"? Hmm....

Did a Google search and found this blog post on the same topic, which also cites this Slate article.

They came up with a few that aren't listed here yet:

Green Fingers (actually about gardening)
the Harry Potter movies (Herbology class)
Howard's End
A Room With a View

Might we know why you're compiling this list?

Oo, what about that sappy Keanu Reeves movie where he and the girl wave their "wings" in the vineyard(?) ? Anyone know what I'm talking about? The name's on the tip of my tongue.

checking imdb....A Walk to Remember
