Take the idea of product placement and turn it on its head.
Here's one of this year's funnier comedies so far (not saying much, but there it is.) And it's a commercial.
Take a few minutes and check out
Seinfeld and Superman in a new commercial directed by Barry Levinson.

"Uniform."
Why do I have a feeling that this is the kind of thing we'll soon be paying nine bucks to see in a theater?

That is really something! I was surprised by a couple of things... it was Seinfeld's idea, AND it's an internet-based project. It seems like the kind of thing that would be funny and commercially viable on TV or in theaters without corporate backing, maybe direct-to-video. Also, I notice that the TM and © are DC Comics... wonder what the licensing fees are on this.

Gotta love Patrick Warbuton as Superman, eh?
Seriously, that was pretty good. I miss "Seinfeld."

THAT was great! Cynical Superman. The guy who played the "slow" witness/"partner" on CSI:Miami last week and had a small part on this week's Sopranos episode was the host at the restaurant too. Nice to see that guy getting work.
I don't know. It would be cool if they folded numerous trailers and placements in, say, a 20 minute small piece before a feature, but I don't think paying for thisas a feature would go over very well.
