Christian Slater in yet another ordinary-guy-is-a-spy movie.
I really disliked Chuck, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith was ridiculous.
This effort seems to have gotten it right, more or less, although I nearly laughed out loud when it was revealed that Edward owns a Chevy.

I was hoping to catch this, but we missed the premier -- as well as the follow-up on the Sci-Fi Channel.

The premise is really hard to buy, but Christian Slater sells it, at least in one episode. Whether they can carry it through an entire series...

Well, we watched the first two episodes, and part of the third, but we turned it off midway. Maybe it's just that we got back from a marriage retreat yesterday, but...
I can't figure out if they want you to laugh or to be titilated by the fact that his wife is sleeping with another man without knowing it, and that he can't do anything about it. And either way, it's repulsive. Out of all the complications that the scenario presented might carry for a person's life, this one that they have chosen to focus on is the most grotesque. So, as good a job as Slater is doing in the role, we've decided not to watch the show any more.

I think that is very troubling. Imagine what the wife would think/feel? And what message does it send?

Well, I've only seen one episode, so I may have missed something, but she is not sleeping with another man, another man is sleeping with her. There is a difference. She is, in fact, being faithful. Certainly Edward is a cad, and Henry has a right to be upset, but not with his wife at any level.

No, you're right. I meant no moral blame on her. Just on the writers of the show.

Me, too -- I meant image what she will go through when she finds out...
