Small minds need to be opened up. I am sorry but if you are suggesting that U2, primarily BONO, launch these initiatives to promote themselves you are mistaken my friend. Bono is one of the most genuine individuals I have had the opportunity to meet.
He is one smart man.U2 use their fame to bring attention to causes not the other way around. My hat is off to him for what he does to make a difference in the world. He puts up with nay sayers who love to make these type of comments for what reason I do not know. If only the rest of us could put ourselves out there in our own way. I don't doubt his integrity one bit — I never have. Where were we calling that into question?
Being genuine and promoting your band aren't mutually exclusive, either.
