Here we go again. And again there were 29 listings at IMDB. I was also shocked that neither James Earl Jones nor Paul Robeson ever starred in a film version (although Robeson was famous for his staged performance of the role).

Does O really count? I mean, it follows a similar PLOT STRUCTURE, but it doesn't have any of Shakespeare's LANGUAGE. We might just as well have a poll for favorite Taming of the Shrews that includes 10 Things I Hate About You, or (moving from Shakespeare to Austen) a poll for favorite Emmas that includes Clueless.
