I noticed three stars (on the interest-level guage) next to this film on Jeffrey's recent Fall Preview list, so I thought I'd toss out this caveat emptor: I happened to catch a preview screening of The Last Shot last week and was stunned at how the screenwriter for The Terminal and Catch Me If You Can has turned in one of the very worst films I have ever seen, no lie. The writing and direction are amateurish, sophomoric, and crude. A great cast is forced into such humiliating performances that you felt sorry for them at first, then you were glad for the humiliation because clearly they needed to be punished for getting on board what surely must have seemed like garbage even on paper.

Great opening titles, though.

Sheesh!

Okay! I'm... uh... revising my expectations on that one.

Mr. H actually tried to talk me into going to that one with him. What nerve.

Then again, it could just be me on this one. But I did give Marek Rossi (who went with me) the "gong" perogative after twenty minutes and after another twenty, he gonged and we left. Stef would have insisted we stay until the last shot. tongue.gif

Heh. Maybe that's why they called it The Last Shot. Cuz the goal is to see if you can make it that far.
