Pic takes 'Woman' on ride
Sam Kieth comic comes to life
NEW YORK -- City Lights Pictures and Intrinsic Value Films will
produce "Four Women," a thriller based on the graphic novel by Sam
Kieth, published by DC Comics.
Kieth scripted and will helm the production, slated to begin lensing
in February.
Pic tells the story of four women who go on a road trip through the
desert and get stranded when their car breaks down. Terror ensues
after they are picked up by two men in a truck.
City Lights prexy Danny Fisher and VP Steven Menkin will produce,
along with Intrinsic Values principals Aimee Schoof and Isen
Robbins. City Lights partner Michael Almog will exec produce with
Jack and Joe Fisher. Almog's DH Blair Film Capital Fund will help
provide coin for the pic.
City Lights recently produced John Waters' Fine Line-distribbed pic
"A Dirty Shame" and is currently shooting "Tamara," scripted by
Jeffrey Reddick ("Final Destination"). Intrinsic Value Films'
credits include "XX/XY," "Brother to Brother" and "Satan's Little
Helper."
