  1. Stop Making Sense is simply amazing. I was also lucky enough to see Byrne at Austin City Limits this year. One of the best shows of the weekend.
  2. This is very easy: Well Guy in a skeleton costume Comes up to the guy in the Superman suit Runs through him with a broadsword - The Mountain Goats, Oceanographer's Choice
  3. According to their blog their new album comes out in about 2 months. They have one of the new songs up on their myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/ezrafurman
  4. I'm a huge, huge, huge fan of their album Banging Down the Doors, so I was absolutely thrilled to find these 4 previously unreleased songs available for download here.. It looks like it was posted a couple months ago, but I didn't see anyone else mention it on these forums. Also, according to their blog they are in the studio recording another album. Exciting! What does everyone else think of this band?
  5. Only a Theory by Ken Miller. So far, so good!
  6. I twitter. I just have a few friends on it and strawpoll. No feeds or anything.

This is a funny and educational documentary. The extras are just as good. Don't miss the 10 questions on the bonus features.

  9. That is such a great video. Unfortunately my city didn't fall in his path.
  10. Smithwick's is made by Guinness I believe.
  11. Another band that, at least according to last.fm, appears they have hardly any listeners is Blue Mother Tupelo. Their album "Delta Low ~ Mountain High" is really good. They are a husband and wife duo and play pretty much blues and southern rock.
  12. This is only a couple years old, but as far as I can tell very few people have heard Mike Farris. He's like a mix of blues, rock, soul, gospel. His album Salvation in Lights is great, and his voice suits his style of music really well.

    Great Music of 2008

The Raconteurs new album, Consolers of the Lonely, is really good. It's much better than their first album I think.

    Great Music of 2008

I've only listened to one album from 2008, and that is: Heretic Pride by The Mountain Goats Really good album. Might rival The Sunset Tree as my favorite Goats album with time.
