Story here. I know we've had some related threads in the past, but I can't pin down any specific threads that seem to match up. So here ya go.

British regulators are undertaking this effort after one viewer complaint. And they say the FCC is prone to overreact!

I have to say the possibility of my sons whacking each other with pool cues after watching "Tom & Jerry" is closer to being a live issue for me than the possibility that a few years from now they might pick up smoking because Tom rolled a cigarette.

Forget smoking! Isn't anthromorphizing animals a form of cruelty? Where's PETA on this?
