New Site Design

This is very appealing. As if the lights in the bar have just been turned down for the evening.

Great work on the new look and logo. Is it merely aesthetic or a symbolic that the T are of a slightly larger font?

I really like the new site design, and the colors. Not that there was anything wrong with the old colors, but the warm feel of the darkish red/burgundy is a nice change.

Hmmm. Doing a search just now, there was no longer an option to search titles. Not a big deal, but makes it a touch more clunky.

Making the T taller allows for tighter kerning. Since the T's horizontal bar floats above the other caps, you can bring those caps in a little toward the T's stem without touching the bar and making a mess.

Do you know the deep dark secret of the avatars?

It's big. It's fat. It's Greek.

I see, sir, that you are a true connoisseur of typography. A man after my own heart!

Yes if it's possible could we have that back please. I use it all the time.

(how else can we avoid "Ahems")

PS In case it wasn't clear my earlier response of "oooooooh" meant - The new site design looks great.

I've noticed relatively minor design quirk. In the footer of the site, the banner ad appears beside the bar that displays the RSS icon and the current date and time, which causes a lot of horizontal scrolling. I've attached a screenshot.

This only seems to be happening in Safari on OS X. My guess is that an extra line break tag needs to be placed after the "navstrip" div (there's already one right before it).

The link to the Top 100 Films is broken. I don't know what that means?

Love the new design. I also like the link back to IMAGE Home.

By the way - these were my high school colors - we were the SCOTS!

Since 1995 we have authored a commentary on film, cinema in focus. Though we enjoy cinema as an art form, our interests lie not so much in reviewing a film as in beginning a conversation about the social and spiritual values presented. We, therefore, often rate a film higher or lower due to its message rather than its quality of acting or film-making.

I haven't been able to locate the "Make All Posts Read" link, much less click on it, since Image took over. Am I missing that option? I must be overlooking it.

Me likey. The only thing that would bmake it better would be a WAV file that played "Secret Ambition" by Michael W. Smith.

That would make it Christian, donthcya know?

It's all the way to the right of "Your Topics", same place it's always benn--in the dark grey bar that's on top of the search results.

OK. There's a "more options" button on the screen you go to after you hit "more search options". That button gets to you to the old screen for "more search options".

Darrell:

When you click on "Search" you'll see a "More Search Options" option -- click on that and you'll find what you need.

Thanks Greg
