Gods of the Prairie

Recommended Posts

The folks behind X-Files: The Musical are planning a new summer project. Titled Gods of the Prairie, it's inspired by Wagner's Ring Cycle and Nebraska history. I'm on their board of directors, and so have been privy to some of the planning and staging, and it's impressive. Previously, their productions have taken place in backyards and empty lots, but this time, it's going to take place all over downtown Lincoln. Basically, think a scavenger hunt, with various scenes taking place on a loop at various locations, along with some "hidden" scenes for more intrepid theatre lovers.

Every time I log in and still see this thread title still atop the Theater & Dance forum, I think, "someone has done a theatrical mash-up of Neil Gaiman's 'American Gods' and 'A Prarie Home Companion.'"
