John Drew
A most enthusiastic second for Lone Star. I've been thinking about that film quite a bit recently, having just finished True Detective. This was the film that, for me, showed the original promise that Matthew McConaughey had as an actor, and has finally delivered on in the past two to three years (going back to 2011's Bernie and Killer Joe thru to last years triple play of Mud, Dallas Buyers Club, and The Wolf of Wall Street). McConaughey has about five minutes of screen time, and I thought his character Buddy Deeds was as memorable as Kris Kristofferson's Charlie Wade. Both were in top form in this film.
