Authenticity Article

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking a lot about authenticity over the past year or so. Actually, my main reason for making this topic is in a desperate appeal to see if anyone has a link to an article I read once and lost track of. It came out about 2-3 years ago, I believe for a journal, and it's main thesis was that since our culture values authenticity so much, all other criteria, such as criteria, is lost and undermined - it's more important to be authentic and do something poorly than to produce an excellent work of fiction. Anyone know the article I'm referring to?
