So, the top nominees are Birdman and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (3 nominations each), followed by Guardians of the Galaxy, Interstellar, Unbroken and Whiplash (2 nominations each), followed by American Sniper, Annie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Fault in Our Stars, Fury, Get On Up, Gone Girl, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Into the Woods, Jersey Boys, Selma, Still Alice and The Theory of Everything (1 nomination each).

 

The winners will be announced February 15.

And note: the Oscar nominees snubbed MPSE frontrunner Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and included MPSE snubbee The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
