The Martian was my favorite musical of the year, just ahead of Ex Machina.

Along with that other great musical Crimson Peak.

Finally finished my own top ten list, and deciding which film of 10, 11, and 12 to include at 10 was one of the toughest decisions I've ever made.

2. The Assassin
3. Phoenix

6. Man from Reno
7. Mad Max: Fury Road
8. Carol
9. Clouds of Sils Maria

Hey, I have to leave some sort of bait to encourage people to click that link. :)

Near the end of last year, as I was mulling over my favourite films of the year, I realized how many great first features were released in 2015. So here's my Top 30 Debut Films of 2015 , published at PopOptiq.
