Oscars 2016: Best Cinematography

The American Society of Cinematographers has announced its nominees:

  • Sicario, Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC
  • Bridge of Spies, Janusz Kaminski
  • CarolEd Lachman, ASC
  • The Revenant, Emmanuel Lubezki, ASC, AMC
  • Mad Max: Fury Road, John Seale, ASC, ACS

The winner will be announced February 14.

It bums me out that there doesn't seem to be any way to add polls to existing threads in the current version of the board, but oh well.

The nominees for the Oscar are (with the ones I've seen in bold):

  • Carol
  • The Hateful Eight
  • Mad Max: Fury Road
  • The Revenant
  • Sicario

So the Oscars agree with the ASC on four of the nominees, and switched out Bridge of Spies for The Hateful Eight.
