Badman on extra-terrestrial radio? After years of flailing at the payola game (advice to radio pluggers: back rubs, baked goods and babysitting just don't do the trick with KFOG) we've finally broken through to commercial radio, XM Satellite radio that is. And we've got a couple of bands slotted for the Echoes station. As a start, tune in every Sunday in June as Don Peris and Lanterna will be featured in the Living Room set. (it's also available on over 350 terrestrial, non-commercial stations)

Don Peris has quietly released an instrumental Christmas album, Brighter Visions Beam Afar.

Brighter Visions Beam Afar

is a quiet instrumental offering of Christmas hymns

arranged for solo guitar and gently performed by Don Peris.

A portion of your purchase will be donated to benefit those in need

of warmth and shelter throughout the Winter.

Also, he has a show coming up in December: Prince Street Cafe - Lancaster PA - Dec 15th

I note that the esteemed Thom Jurek used "cough syrup" as an adjective to describe guitar playing, not once but twice, in his review of the new Robert Plant/Allison Krauss disc.

Let's Carl the whole thing Orff!

Do you know the deep dark secret of the avatars?

It's big. It's fat. It's Greek.
