I believe it was David Lynch. But a search of the board doesn't turn up anything promising. I wonder if that person, too, deleted all his comments. (If memory serves, he also posted a handful of Lynchian raves in the comments section at Jeff's blog.)
He was nuts over Lynch, Mulholland Drive in particular. He maintained that the homeless guy behind the dumpster in that film, whom we see for a second or two frightening Naomi Watts if I'm not mistaken, was a Christ figure. After being talked out of that particular mulberry tree, he then opined that the reason Lynch made the film was to "provoke free thought."
It does appear that he deleted his posts, but there is a bit of meta-discussion about that particular character here.
