FWIW, Becket, Rome Open City, and Tender Mercies are all on Watch Instantly at Netflix.

I also see Stef still hasn't written his Faust blurb. Didn't we make a rule that you have to write the blurb if the movie is your avatar? I would've done one for There Will Be Blood if it had made the list.

Yeah, Stef write up Faust! And then go watch Tender Mercies because you know you want to AND then do a blurb on that.

I've got Rome, Open City.

I might not have watched Rome, Open City if I hadn't volunteered for it tonight, and watching it was one of the most powerful film experiences I've had recently.

I never volunteered for Faust, only three others, two of which Greg is losing faith in me for.

Greg:

If no one else has claimed it, and you don't mind waiting about two weeks, please put me down for 'An Autumn Afternoon.'

I am going to release Winter Light and Day of Wrath to the forum. Somebody help me please. I just can't write about these having not recently seen them.

This isn't a matter of volunteering - it is a given - now write it! Seriously though, your writing is worth the read so I look forward to whichever ones you are doing.

stef, you are the first person I've ever known to call the publisher of Image "Greggy-boy."

I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or slap you around.

I had an old girlfriend whose great-aunt insisted on calling me "Maynard," so "Greggy-boy" ain't so bad.

AHEM, we still have SIX FILMS TO BLURB.
