Thank you for all your nominations, friends!
The Top100 Poll is now open. It will stay open until 11:59 pm on Monday, January 3.

http://www.surveymon...om/s/top1002011

1) You must fill out your A&F username to begin the poll.
2) Rate each film from 1 to 5, 5 being the highest.
3) There are twenty films on each page. You CAN go backward to change a film's rating while the poll is still unfinished. Once you finish or exit the poll, you cannot change any votes.
4) Your vote will be weighted according to post count, similarly to last year's weighting.
5) You do not have to vote for a film. Your non-vote will be considered a "Haven't Seen It."

If we've missed a film, or if something goes wrong, please PM me.

If I'm reading the directions right, I couldn't "check out" the poll (e.g. to look at what movies I might want to watch before completing the poll) and then come back to complete it later. If that is the case, is there a list of all of the nominated films that we could post here? There's the list of seconded movies in the nomination thread, but I wasn't sure if that was all up to date.

I just want to encourage everyone who will be voting to make every effort to see as many of the nominated films as possible. Obviously, we're all going to be busy enjoying the holidays over the next two weeks, but many of these films are easily accessible in the States via Netflix streaming. I've just queued up 10 or 15 more and plan to watch as many as possible.

Sorry, I'm probably missing something right in front of my face--but where is the list of films eligible for voting? (Besides in the poll, I mean.)

I believe this is the final list of nominated films. And then there's the grandfathered list from last year's Top 100.

Thanks for asking! I've put the eligible film list (210 films) in the first post of this thread. It should mirror the poll exactly.

Did we nominate the '86 or the '52 version of Manon des Sources? I'm thinking the '86 because its connected with Jean de Florette?

Yes, 1986. That's weird - not sure how the 1952 got there. It was wrong on the poll too. Now fixed.

So sorry, everybody! If anyone voted for it by mistake or wants to retract his or her vote, PM me.

FYI: You've grandfathered in The House is Black, which is a short film -- only 20 minutes long -- and the anthology By Brakhage, which also only contains short films, I believe.

Same thing with Meshes of the Afternoon.

I was looking through the nominations list and I could not see who seconded the nominations of Times and Winds by JO or of Frankenstein by Ryan H. Maybe I am just not seeing these posts?

The Fog of War is a 2003 film, not a 1993 film.

Friends:

We're aware of a few of these minor anomalies on the listing of nominated films. We'll be doing a little tweaking on Monday.

If you see anything else that needs fixing or adjudicating, just post here.

In the meantime, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I have felt for many years that I need more Christmas spirit. Can you sing "Home For the Holidays" for me?

Stef, if I get the karaoke machine I'm hoping for this morning, I'll belt it out with the best of them.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas!

Hello everybody! I hoe you had wonderful Christmas weekends. I apologize for our mistakes on the poll. Any films which appeared on the poll erroneously will be disqualified when we tally the votes. So if you vote for them or not, it doesn't matter. Thank you!

I've never seen Code Unknown called The Code Unknown, but that's how it appears on this list. Might want to change that to avoid confusion.

What's the chances of reopening the poll until the evening of the 5th for all the inexcusable procrastinators?

We'd like to collect a few more responses, since we're not quite up to last year's levels.

So I've opened the poll again until Wednesday the 5th at midnight.

Happy voting!

I think it's amusing that, after all of that talk of grandfathering in established lists and increasing our focus on classic American cinema, Citizen Kane still wasn't nominated. F for Fake was, but not Kane.
