[Persona]

Join in striking out 2011 films as you see them! If enough of us participate again, we might want to pin this thread at the top.

To make things easier for you to join in, here are templates to the Top 100 and the Top 25 Horror.

Link to last year's striking, "Exloring the List 2010."

Today I've seen 61 of the Top 100 -- nine of the Top Ten, sixteen of the Top Twenty. Of the thirty-nine I haven't seen, I'm familiar with half, but not intimately connected with, or it has been a few too many years.

I did well at keeping up with Striking Out films that I hadn't seen as I went along last year, but unfortunately I only saw twelve of of those thirty-or-so films. I am making a commitment in 2011 to do better than that. Most likely I will take a month or two this Spring to track down as many of these titles as I can.

Added to this year's "Exploring the List" is the Horror Top 25, which follows. (I've seen eighteen of those twenty-five.)

I've got several left yet to see, more from the horror list, which is not surprising. I never could get to After Life on the previous T100--it's not on Netflix for some reason. It's probably the film on this list I'd like to see the most. Otherwise, I am most looking forward to Curse of the Demon and Repulsion.

That's weird. I know I've streamed After Life from Netflix at least once, but not even the DVD is available now. The same thing has happened with the Dardennes' La Promesse.

Those are both New Yorker releases, so I assume their streaming contract with Netflix ran out. Films are constantly being added to and removed from the streaming catalog.

I am in third with eight, nine if you count my "eeeeh" for A Man For All Seasons. I am certain torture is a natural part of life, i might go back to it again some day.
