Well, there's this leaked list on Indiewire that mentions The Burial. The article also points out there's probably no way it's a real or final list of the films that will be in competition. Still, there are some exciting names on it.

I've said this elsewhere, but... people involved with the Malick film have already denied that it is called The Burial, so I don't trust any story that calls it that. If it turns out that *is* the title, than those people were either lying or else decided that the rumor mill had produced a good title.

I love that, despite doing my best to stay atop news in contemporary world cinema, Cannes is always able to find 20 or so filmmakers I've never heard of. So much potential for discovery. Chances are a couple of these unknown-to-me directors have made my favorite films of 2012!
