Rebel Ridge

Jeremy Saulnier’s Rebel Ridge sees a stranger entering a foreign land and immediately
encountering hostility, prejudice, and violence. Terry Richmond (Aaron Pierre) is a
Marine veteran whose service and sacrifice to a thankless society knows no bounds. He
is his brother’s keeper, but his humanity is consistently denied by others around him.
Yet, he stays the course and seeks to remain honorable amidst these circumstances.
With each test of his fortitude and resolve, he stays true to his code of honor. He never
takes a life – even from those who try to take his. He refuses to turn a blind eye to the
corruption of a police state that targets its citizens and feeds on their vulnerability.
Richmond is a biblical hero that we can all stand to learn from as we navigate the daily
external and internal conflicts of our own lives. — Thomas Manning (2024)
