Homer and Marge are in Alaska arguing about going home to Springfield and Homer says, "I'm not going back to America!"

    The Simpsons Movie

There's one scene in which Bart goes skating through town nekked and in which they show a close up of his johnson (which I think is a first ever) and one bystander noticing him says, "I like men now."

    The Simpsons Movie

Like the part when the dome is coming down (or is it the bomb about to go off?) and they show the church and Moe's bar next to each other and the church folk run to the bar while the bar folk run to the church.
  9. These last four pics are of Kevin, Mike and I signing balls for the fans with Kevin signing a base (not really, but we were clowning around).
  10. I found a buddy of mine I went to school with in Dallas on myspace last week through a friend of a friend. The first friend (Cindy) just so happen to join last week and added me as her first friend. Then I connected to Dave on her site who was linked to Kevin. I then got a hold of Kevin and he told me that he just so happen to be coming up to Detroit this weekend. The reason why he was coming up is that he is a pilot for the owner of the Kansas City Royals (former CEO of Walmart). Here are a few pics. Enjoy. By the way, KCRs won Friday, lost Saturday at the game I was at and won Sunday. Pic 142 is Kevin (pilot), Mike (co-pilot) and Courtney (friend from flight school).
  11. I've never seen it, but I heard Soylent Green is a possible movie that raises some pro-life concerns. Also there is, Million Dollar Baby.

    Crank

:spoilers: It's similar to the Transporter movies but less serious. The Transporter movies seem to have a more serious note on the scale of a James Bond movie--even Casino Royale. However, it seems that the "energy level" is overkill but of course the movie has to be like this. You might as well watch some sort of video game because with all the different camera angles and shots it seems as if you're meant to be on this little joy ride with Stratham. It's like the Energizer bunny on speed only the Energizer Bunny is less frivolous. One reviewer pointed out that the movie is full of racism and makes the women "an assortment of bimbos, strippers and whores with the exception of Smart's Eve and even she's reduced to being Chev's sexual plaything in short order" (he has VERY PUBLIC sex with her). Though it is too sardonic to have any real tension, I did wonder by the end of the movie what I would do if I knew I only had an hour, a day or a month to live. Would I seek revenge on my enemies or would I forgive them? Would I seriously rightly relate with others, including God, or would my life be filled with the drivel and nonsense that pervades the last hour of Chelios' life?

    Crank

Crank Didn't see any forum on it here. Anyone see the movie? It's a mindless bit of tripe but it did make me stop and think about my priorities.

    Old Music

Guys. I'm doing some house cleaning. I've had some old CCM tapes in boxes (for years) that I'm think'n of gett'n rid of. I don't want to just throw them away (feel too guilty for that) yet I never listen to them anymore. Think'n maybe the local Christian thrift shop? What should I do?

I'm sure it has to do with making a point about wasteful consumer culture (even at a major venue like Cornerstone). Truth be told, to see this in person, confronted me in an "in your face" sort of way about some things I take for granted, i.e. waste, consuming, the need for nice packaging and think'n I have the REAL DEAL because of it, etc. Kinda sorta the difference between hearing the truth and HEARING the truth. We need to see examples in action i.e. the Mother Tereasas of the world. One way in which God speaks to us. Using and calling characters like this to this sort of lifestyle to shake us from our apathy.

Well, that's actually Aaron Weiss' of mewithoutYou at this years Cornerstone getting HIS next meal. Apparently, this is how these guys eat all the time. They eat the good leftovers that people throw out. A week before Cornerstone, they were in Detroit and my son told that they were doing the same thing there as well. Seriously. He just jumped from garbage can to garbage can like a professional. Here in this pic he has a half bag of chips (that he got from that barrel) and box of cereal.

Who's this and what's he doing?
  19. Just got in today--drove through the night--living on 5 hours sleep altogether. Pulled over by the cops in Illinois 'cause the license plate light was out. Guess they don't have anything better to do in the middle of the night. Anyhoo...I should have some pics up on my flickr and myspace site within the next week or two. I enjoyed watching a couple of the Haibane Renmei films. I think Jason did an excellent job at Flickerings. When someone would make a comment or ask a question, Jason responded as thoroughly as he could and was humble enough to admit (quite frankly) that he did not have all the answers. Way to go man. Crow camped out next to me and we enjoyed a little chat or two over a cup of coffee or a hamburger but most of the time he was at the Imaginarium or Flickerings. It was nice to get away from all of the headbanging music (though I really enjoyed the stage performance that Showbread put on, yet could not understand A-WORD that was screamed) and listen to Leigh Nash (former singer for Six Pence None the Richer) and Over the Rhine who played after Nash and started out their set with "Fever" (formerly sung by the likes of Elvis. All I could do is think of JO, HA!). This guy had some interesting stuff. Plus I was hoping to see this bluesy grrrrr recording artist...Maron but couldn't because of prior commitments.
  20. I'm gonna paint the van. Gonna go nuts. You'll see me com'n down the highway MILES down the road. Call it a major advertising fetish. Should be there sometime in the evening tmw night. 8 or 9ish. Anyone want to call or text me while I'm there so we can hook up? PM me--I'll give ya my number.
  21. GREATEST. PREGNANT. PAUSE. IN. A&F. HISTORY. So, um, Jason -- was it interesting? Ha! Crow said: Well, the thing is, when I put in to volunteer I said that I would either like to pick up the performers at the airport, do garbage detail or be a stage hand. I really didn't want to work in the store or work in any capacity in which I had to handle money (you'll probably get gypped if you have me counting your money back. Not that I would be pocketing the money or anything like that...I'm an [-o< ) The reason I wanted to drive the performers was because I'm in the transpo business anyhoo. However, because insurance would not cover me off the property? They put me on driving the garbage truck instead. And the reason I'm driving is because I'm doing this for 8 hours (they can't have me jumping up and down outta that truck for that long. Most of the guys doing that are volunteering shorter amounts of time). So yeah, if any of you guys see me? Shout "Brandooooooo!!" and give me a wave! I'll wave back as this part of the reason I wanted to do garbage--I'll get to see all of you!
  22. So, it is now official OOOOfficial, BII and I are going to CS. I'm volunteering full hours to cut my costs and just be involved in something as exciting as CS. What am I volunteering to do? Garbage truck drivaaaaaar! Yaaaay! I'm gonna love it! Thank you Jeeeeeesaaaaaaas! BII is REALLY excited too.
  23. Dave Bickler. It's funny how he responds to the announcer in these commercials.
  24. There are a number of websites that have these links. This particular one requires Windows Media Player, but these radio commercials are pretty darn funny. Enjoy. Real Men of Genius
  25. :spoilers: Saw this last night. Few things I didn't get. 1. Why are Reed Richards and Sue Storm just now discussing whether its kosher get married and bring kids into their zaney abnormal freakish world on the eve of their wedding? 2. Why does Galactus need The Silver Surfer? 3. How is it that the planet that The Silver Surfer just so happens to come upon, that there's this blonde haired babe that reminds him of his sweetheart. 4. What ultimately happened to Sue Storm's zit? I was expecting it to make another appearance. It seemed to be the high point of the movie if not her forehead.
