  1. Strong agreement on your Carol post re: the whole predator/prey thing. That's what bothered me most about the film, although pursuer/pursue-ee is often part of cinematic romance. Here, though, the relationship never felt like a mutual "love story" to me. Of course it's beautiful to watch, but I found it a little (unintentionally) disturbing. I wonder if the source novel treats the relationship differently than the film does.
