Screen Daily reports that the film adaptation of The Yellow Birds will be directed by David Lowery (Ain't Them Bodies Saints) and star Tye Sheridan, Will Poulter, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
I liked Saints quite a bit, so this is intriguing.
For those who have read the novel, is it more contemplative, which would fit Lowery's style, or more of a typical war story?
