  1. Link to our thread on Laurence Anyways. Clip: The Playlist has a review of Dolan's latest, It's Only the End of the World. The movie itself doesn't sound too great, but I'm not too fond of the way the review is framed, either: Barbara Scharres gives a similarly negative review, but without the psychoanalysis: This review is a tad kinder. The Guardian is positive: Here's a round-up. THR has an interview with Dolan. I still need to see Mommy.

    Blood Ties (2013)

Can't see a post for this yet, which is strange considering the English tabloids were full of pictures from the set... Guillaume Canet's directing the film, with a cast featuring Marion Cotillard (natch), Clive Owen, Mila Kunis, Billy Crudup, Matthias Schoenaerts, Zoe Saldana, James Caan and Lily Tomlin. Not bad. According to imdb:Two brothers, on either side of the law, face off over organized crime in Brooklyn during the 1970s. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1747958/ Not exactly a thrilling synopsis, but with a cast this good I'll be there. Any takers? Release date is June 13, 2013.
