2004 Reading Journals

Recommended Posts

Just a thought, but might we have a brand-new reading journal for 2005? This one already stretches back into mid-2003, and it's cluttered with non-journally posts (like this one) ...

"Sympathy must precede belligerence. First I must understand the other, as it were, from the inside; then I can critique it from the outside. So many people skip right to the latter." -- Steven D. Greydanus
Now blogging at Patheos.com. I can also still be found at Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. See also my film journal.

I change the "UPDATED" line at the top of my post each time I alter the selections, but I'm also guilty of adding one of those non-journal posts.

I'll keep an eye out here and will update my reading journal after we've started a new thread for 2005 (assuming Alan agrees to that).

"What matters are movies, not awards; experiences, not celebrations; the subjective power of individual critical points of view, not the declamatory compromises of consensus." - Richard Brody, "Godard's Surprise Win Is a Victory for Independent Cinema," The New Yorker

So, um, new journal thread? please?
