Accessing Arts and Faith on an iPad

9 posts in this topic

I use an iPad for most of my computing needs at home. Accessing Arts and Faith for me means one of two methods:

  1. Going through my iPad web browser (I use x3watch). This means I have to log in each time, as the browser will not keep me logged in.
  2. Using Splashtop Streamer to access my desktop computer at work, and reading the forum from there. This involves remote desktopping, which is fine, but a little cumbersome.

I know that IP.board has an iPad app, but the reviews for it are terrible. For other forums, I use ForumRunner, which is a great piece of software, but the admins have to add a ForumRunner plug-in to the site (they say it takes five minutes to do). Admins, is this a possibility? The site for the plugin is http://www.forumrunner.net. Pretty please?

With cheese on top?

Just wondering, would you have the option of using a different browser? The browser on my Android phone keeps me logged in.

I use x3watch for its porn-accountability features.

Do you have similar log-in issues with other sites, or is it just A&F?

I only read two forums, A&F and a Superman fan site, which I read on ForumRunner, because it's so easy to do.

So, is this a possibility, admins? Or no?

Can I at least get an indication that an Admin has read this thread, and perhaps a response? Even a "no" would be fine.

Denes, I think in another thread Greg Wolfe said that all the staff are either on vacation or at the Glen Workshop East the past couple weeks. Have you tried a private message?
