Peter T Chattaway
"THIS CHURCH IS PRAYER-CONDITIONED" One of the church signs in Minnesota read, "This church is prayer conditioned." I was going to mention that I had seen this message on a church in Vancouver tonight, but I figured I'd play it safe and check to see if anyone else had seen it. Turns out someone had. Two someones. And the second someone's sighting even prompted a brief riff on the fact that churches are getting not only cheesy, but unoriginally so. Ah well. It only took Canada four years to catch up. Quote "Sympathy must precede belligerence. First I must understand the other, as it were, from the inside; then I can critique it from the outside. MattPage
FWIW, my Dad used to have a tax disc holder (which sits on the inside of the windscreen opposite the passenger) which had a similar (but better IMHO) thrust: "Trust in God, but as I'm driving, please use your seatbelt". I don't know what's worse, the joke itself or the fact they had to throw in a "NOT" to make sure everyone knew it was a joke. Like, don't call 911. Please. Just jokin'.
