I was admiring M. Dale Prins' gorgeous upcoming album over in this topic, when I realized that in the rush of getting ready for Berklee at the beginning of this year, I failed to do a plug for my new album, 'The Night As Bright As Day'. I finished it a week before I headed out to Berklee, and having gone back through different topics here I've realized that I never publicized it here.

Anyway, it's just a small project I put together of original instrumental piano songs, simple arrangements, melodies. It's a first try at what I hope will become a regular release of new material over my time at Berklee. I'm studying composition and film scoring at Berklee, and I'm increasingly writing fully-orchestrated material (more on this soon), but I have a soft spot for simple piano music, and this is my initial attempt to realize that in my own creative process.

It's on iTunes, and on my new website, www.joelclarkson.com, though I'll warn you, I've been getting complaints about the layout; some computers don't like it. I'll be doing an update soon.

Thanks for dropping by!

They are great to edit to too! Here are some clips I did for my church in which I use Joel's music:

Thanks for posting that! It's been nice to see the pieces work well for the videos. Always enjoy being able to see my music cross media paradigms, as it were. :)

Reminds me, I need to post here about my new(ish) album. Off to do that right now...
