Don't know why we haven't posted a thread like this before.

If you can scale your photos down to a manageable size that won't send this thread's layout all wacky, share some of your favorite personal photographs with us. Be vain. Show off your favorite photo of yourself, your family, your home, your pets. Or be humble... show your most embarrassing photo. (Need I say it? Keep it decent, please. )

Aren't I in a chatty mood today?

I don't know whether this qualifies as "vain" or "humble" or "self-deprecating," but here's my favorite wedding photo, just because it turned out so well.

It's me, without any photo-retouching, celebrating the marriage of some dear friends in Salem, Oregon.




And here's one of my favorites of Anne and I, out bird-watching...

The photos need to be uploaded to the Internet, and then linked to using the IMG button (much the way you use the http:// button on on this page.) Mine are housed at my personal Web site.

I'm only in the background of this one (and its about 8 years old), but this is probably my all time favourite photo that I've been involved in.

I don't have the option to attach a file . . . (note to self: put on the "to-do-in-the-near-future list" to become a member).

This is me at yet another Youth retreat. We were pretty busy this summer. What I like about this pic is that I was able to keep a straight face even though one of the band members off camera was 'mooning' me.

I've always liked this picture. It was taken in a car somewhere along I-75 on our way to a gig in Atlanta. Blake, our media specialist and guitar player on the back left, kept putting the camera on the dash and changing the timer settings throughout the trip. We never knew when the photo would be taken. So what you see is not a pose.

This was and is our only publicity photo. We didn't want to end up at the website that features very lame band photos that sucked. We stayed away from brick walls, railroad tracks, graveyards, and other settings that should never be in a band photo. So we went to a local pizzaria and ate ourselves silly while someone took pictures. Out of dozens of photos, we chose the one where someone recognized us and we all turned to say hello.

The latest gathering of the Thomas Parker Society, a group that has met, on again and off again, for more than a decade, bringing all manner of things to read out loud to each other.

The group gets its name from the military bunker where we gather underground to read stories by the light of flashlights and candles. (On this particular trip, we found the bunker too overrun with big poisonous spiders to risk an underground meeting, so we wimped out and sat outside at the bonfire pit.)

I think you know which one is me.
